The former Minnesota Plaza/Minnesota Department of Education building at 1500 Highway 36 in Roseville has been torn down and will be the site of a new Minnesota State Patrol headquarters, bringing together employees and operations currently spread across six locations.
The 117,000-square-foot facility will be the first headquarters built specifically for the Minnesota State Patrol. It will cost $97 million to construct, with another $22.5 million to purchase the land and on design work. The architect is LEO A DALY and constractor is JE Dunn Construction.
The expected opening is 2028.
A groundbreaking is planned for Sept. 22 at 1:30 p.m.
