Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services (SMRLS), a leading nonprofit provider of civil legal aid based at 450 Syndicate St. N, is proud to announce the appointment of Micaela Schuneman, Esq. as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective Oct. 13, 2025. With over a decade of leadership in legal advocacy and public service, Schuneman brings a dynamic vision and deep commitment to justice that aligns with SMRLS’s mission to ensure equal access to legal representation for all. Her appointment marks a new chapter in the organization’s ongoing efforts to expand services, strengthen community partnerships, and innovate in the delivery of legal aid across Southern Minnesota.

Jonathan Palmer
The Rondo Center of Diverse Expressions (RCODE) is proud to announce that Jonathan Palmer has been selected as the organization’s new Executive Director. Palmer will step into the role following the remarkable leadership of Marvin Roger Anderson, who has served as both Executive Director and Chair of the Board for the past seven years. Anderson will continue to guide the organization as Chair of the Board. Palmer is a respected nonprofit leader with a long history of service in Saint Paul. He has built a career dedicated to strengthening communities, lifting diverse voices, and creating opportunities for growth and expression. RCODE is responsible for the Rondo Commemorative Plaza, and offers a space where the legacy of Rondo is preserved, celebrated, and shared through cultural programs, storytelling, and community engagement.

ERICA PROSSER
The City of Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Department announces that Erica Prosser has been named as Director of Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. Prosser had been serving in the role on an interim basis. Prosser brings more than 15 years of public sector leadership experience, including as Deputy Director for Saint Paul Parks and Recreation, where she provides executive leadership across seven divisions. She has championed several youth services initiatives, including Saint Paul’s youth jobs program, Right Track, which provides meaningful career opportunities, professional skills training, and mentorship to young people across the city. As Director of Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, Prosser will continue to serve on the Parks and Recreation Department’s Executive Team.
