SOUTH COMO CO-OP BUYS FIRST BUILDING
The South Como Community Investment Cooperative (South Como Co-op) is thrilled to announce its first purchase agreement on a community-owned property. Located at the corner of Front Avenue and Chatsworth Street in the South Como neighborhood, the 2,176-square-foot mixed-use building embodies the co-op’s mission of fostering vibrant spaces and equitable economic opportunities. CHANGING TIMES BOOK CLUB
The novel “Ceremony” by Leslie Marmon Silko is the January selection for Changing Times Book Group. A World War II veteran of mixed ancestry returns to his reservation deeply scarred, finding peace by immersing himself in his Indigenous heritage. The author is of Laguna Pueblo descent. The group meets Saturday, Jan. 24, 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Saint Anthony Park Branch Library, 2245 Como Avenue.
