TEENS PROTEST

Posted

Teens from across the Twin Cities walked out of class on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, and gathered at Central High School in St. Paul to protest the use of no-knock warrants and stand up to police violence after the killing of 22-year-old Amir Locke. They walked from the school to the Governor’s Mansion. “I want to see change in my community,” said Anastatia Pihvogah, 16, a student at St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists. The rally was organized by MN Teen Activists and Central High School Black Student Union. “It saddens our heart that we are back again walking out of class and demanding justice, after just last year we organized for #DanteWright,” organizers wrote in an Instagram post.
