At the Dec. 19, 2024, Board of Education meeting, the school board approved several action items.

First was the unanimous decision to select Dr. Stacie Stanley as the preferred candidate for Saint Paul Public Schools superintendent. The full announcement is available at spps.org/superintendentsearch.

The board also approved the 2025-26 school year (pay 2025) tax levy in the amount of $220,848,442.35. This represents a 7.92 percent increase from 2024-2025 school district property tax levy.

In addition, the board approved the next three years of school district calendars (2025-26, 2026-27 and 2027-28). In each year, school will start the day after Labor Day with a full week for spring break and end on or before June 11. Winter break will be shortened in 2026-27 and 2027-28 due to a late Labor Day in those calendar years.
