Midway Project distribution set for November

Posted

The Midway Project just entered its fifth month of operation and Oct. 28 marked its 15th distribution event. It started by sharing fresh and non-perishable food items, household, personal care, and baby items and expanded to regularly offer masks, school supplies, family games and activities, and information about voting, housing, and additional food resources in our community. Over the summer and into the fall, this community of care got to know each other and shared the joys and difficulties of everyday life. It has welcomed hundreds of families, and together created something that goes beyond what anyone expected back in June. The Midway is truly mighty in heart and in its commitment to one another.
The Midway Project team is so thankful for the incredible generosity of our neighbors, the continued partnership with Hancock Recreation Center, The Sanneh Foundation, and Ginkgo Coffeehouse, and so many supporting partnerships along the way including Celtic Junction, Hamline Midway Early Learning Coalition, and Resurrection City Church.
The Midway Project distributions will continue through November - see schedule below - and possibly into December. Watch for updates and opportunities at the Hamline Midway Coalition Facebook page, check out https://www.hamlinemidway.org/TheMidwayProject, or email midwayproject@hamlinemidway.org.
Upcoming distribution events at Hancock Recreation Center, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
• Nov. 18 - meal box
• Nov. 25 - meal box, prepacked grocery bag, household, personal care & baby items as available
